A campus landmark, Rockwell Hall is home to the 850-seat Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, Ciminelli Recital Hall, classrooms, computer labs, dance studios, administrative offices, practice rooms, and more.

Sound abounds in the Ciminelli Recital Hall. This incredible facility is used for student and faculty recitals, guest artist performances, and to teach and produce sound recording.

Upton Hall is the home of Buffalo State's renowned visual arts programs. Upton Hall includes two galleries that regularly feature the work of students, alumni, and faculty and host exhibits from around the world.

Performances are a regular feature of Buffalo State’s programming, especially at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall, Ciminelli Recital Hall, Warren Enters Theatre, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

Transfer FAQ

  • We offer rolling admissions, but we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

    View Dates and Deadlines

  • The SUNY application closes August 2, 2024. All supplemental materials, such as transcripts, must be received in our Admissions Office by August 9, 2024.
      
  • Have your official transcript sent directly to Buffalo State, along with official transcripts from any other college you may have attended.
     
  • Choose and complete one application
    Both applications require a $50 non-refundable application fee.

    SUNY Application
    Apply to multiple SUNY universities with one application.

    Common Application
    Apply to select participating schools with one application.

 

 

  • All of your University of the Arts credits will transfer, provided we have a comparable program.
     
  • Use the Transfer Credit Estimator to get an idea of how your classes will transfer. If you do not see a course, we will work with the academic department to determine its Buffalo State equivalent.
     
  • If you have completed more than 90 credits, our Academic Affairs division will work one-on-one with you regarding those additional credits.

 

 

  • You will be considered for need-based aid – please submit your FAFSA and TAP (if you are a New York State resident) applications: Our FAFSA code is 002842, our TAP code is 0905 – this will be linked after you complete the FAFSA
  • You will also be considered for additional grant funding
  • Students who have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA and will have completed at least 24 credits will be considered for merit scholarships

 

 

  • Yes! You can live in one of our 11 residence halls.  Learn more about your housing options on our Residence Life website.
