Buffalo State Launches Revamped Virtual Tour

Buffalo State Launches Revamped Virtual Tour

Posted: March 26, 2015

Buffalo State debuted its interactive, online virtual tour in April 2012. Since then, campus has been transformed by new signage, building projects, and, of course, students. The college’s tour has been updated to keep pace with these great advancements—check out Buffalo State’s updated virtual tour and complementary mobile app.

Featuring 360-degree panoramas of the college's facilities and residential areas, the tour gives visitors an instant overview of Buffalo State’s 125-acre campus.

Two guides—alumna, news reporter, and recently crowned “Miss Buffalo,” Desiree Wiley, '12; and current student and theater major Jesse Tiebor—take visitors on a step-by-step tour.

Online visitors can explore everything Buffalo State has to offer—a diverse and creative environment, a broad array of academics, hands-on learning opportunities, affordable tuition, and a historic location in New York’s second largest city—and take the next step toward enrolling by scheduling a visit or applying. The new site was created by YouVisit.com with development and direction from the College Relations Office and video assistance from Instructional Resources.

“Our virtual tour provides a nice visual and informative perspective on how Buff State’s campus is laid out for the community that engages and learns here each day,” said Tim Walsh, associate vice president for College Relations. “Since we originally launched the tour, 102,780 visitors have viewed it and more than 12,150 actions, including Admissions leads and inquiries, have occurred.”

The tour can accessed from all department and office sites via the "Maps and Tours" link and at the top of the main Buffalo State site (as seen below).
