Seminar: Turning Innovation Into Industry

The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is holding a seminar titled “Turning Innovation Into Industry." The seminar will discuss two grants, Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR), that offer $2.5 billion for innovative ideas that align with government goals.

Jim Mayrose, chair and associate professor of engineering technology, is the keynote speaker. Mayrose has received more than $5 million for his innovative technologies. He will share his success story and provide insights into the SBIR program.

The event is open to the public. A continental breakfast will be provided.

Co-sponsors of the seminar are the U.S. Small Business Administration, the New York State Small Business Development Center, and NYSERDA.
