Join the Social Work Department to celebrate social work awareness month. Presentations at this free event will examine many topics such as social justice, incarcerated women, intimate partner violence in the refugee community, legal needs in the refugee community, faith in the LGBTQ community, LGBTQ veterans, international social work in Trinidad and Tobago, working with older adults, working with legislators, NARCAN training (certificate provided), trauma-informed care with children, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Mouths of Babes and Joe Stevens will perform in the evening, March 9; and, Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee, Jennifer Knapp will perform in the evening on March 10. Local agencies who provide assistance for all conference topics are tabling on the first floor of the Student Union. Feel free to come and go as your schedule allows.
