Transfer Promise Program

The Transfer Promise Program is a partnership that allows students to start their academic career at SUNY Erie Community College (ECC), SUNY Niagara (NCCC), or Genesee Community College (GCC) and then transfer to Buffalo State in as little as one year!

Transfer Promise Program

Personalized Experience You will receive personalized advising from the community college to put you on a path to success at Buffalo State. You will also meet with representatives from Buffalo State regularly to make sure you stay on track for our degree programs.

Credits Transfer Credits earned at the community college are guaranteed to transfer to Buffalo State.

Academic Support You will receive academic support through tutoring, advisement, and support services to help prepare you for Buffalo State.

Degrees Earn two degrees! You can earn an associate’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in as little as four years.

Savings Save as much as $3,000 per year by beginning at a community college.

Housing Options You still have the option to live on campus and get that college experience. Both SUNY Niagara and Genesee Community College offer housing on campus with many amenities and perks.

EOP Transfers If you are eligible, you can start in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at the community college you choose, then transfer directly into the EOP program at Buffalo State.
