Women's Volleyball Falters in League Play

FREDONIA, NY--Buffalo State (6-25/1-6) dropped matches to Oswego and Brockport to start the second round of SUNYAC pool play at Fredonia this evening.

Buffalo State lost its opening match to Oswego, 20-30, 21-30 and 16-30. Jessica Guadagno (N. Collins/N. Collins) led the Bengals with six kills. Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) had 13 digs and Allison Suttell (Batavia/Batavia) dished out 14 assists and added six digs.

In the second match, Brockport defeated the Bengals, 19-30, 25-30 and 29-31.

Buffalo State will wrap up the second round of pool play tomorrow with matches against Fredonia, Morrisville and Geneseo.
