Women's Volleyball Comes Up Short at Medaille

BUFFALO--Buffalo State (0-5) won its first game of the young season, but could not claim the match, falling 3-1 at Medaille tonight.

The Bengals dropped the first two games, 18-30 and 23-30, before responding to win game three 30-27, but fell 28-30 in the fourth game. Maria Schaffstall (Elma/Iroquois) paced the Bengals with 28 digs and three aces, and Katelyn Grew (Lackawanna/Mt. Mercy) had 12 kills and five blocks.

Buffalo State will travel to Potsdam this Friday to compete in the North Country Invitational.
