Women's Soccer Falls to Cortland, 2-1

Cortland outshot Buffalo State (5-4-1/1-4), 19-3, en route to a 2-1 victory today at Coyer Field.

Katie Trivisonno scored off a right side cross from Shelley VanDusen to give Cortland an early 1-0 lead. Buffalo State tied the score at 1-1 in the 40th minute with a goal by senior foward Gina Monaco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls), with an assist by Julia Spak (Liverpool/Liverpool). Cortland's Katie Dunn scored the unassisted winner in the second half.

Buffalo State will host Potsdam, Friday, October 7th at 4 p.m.
