Buffalo State scored first, but could not hold on for its first conference win, as host Neumann rallied for a 3-1 win tonight in an ECAC West battle.

Jessica Thieme (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) gave the Bengals the early lead just 4:30 into the game with an unassisted shorthanded goal. Neumann evened the score at 1-1 with 1:21 remaining in the opening stanza. The Knights added a pair of goals in the third period to claim the victory.

Rachel Bennett (Howell, MI/Howell) made 26 saves between the pipes in her first start for Buffalo State. Neumann held a 29-21 advantage in shots for the game.

Buffalo State fell to 3-8-1 overall and 0-5 in league play. The same two teams will meet tomorrow in Philadelphia at 2:45 p.m.
