Water Main Break Repaired, Campus Open

Posted: June 17, 2009
The water main break that occurred on Wednesday, June 17, has been repaired and the Buffalo State College campus is now open.

What happened?

On the morning of Wednesday, June 17, a water main break in the Buffalo State College Student Union Quad cut off the water supply to the entire campus and necessitated a campus closing.

Updates
With regard to affected areas, mostly the basement of Cleveland Hall, cleanup is proceeding quickly, including appropriate decontamination measures and carpet replacement. Just as a precaution, please do not drink the water until it runs clear.

The Copy Center, Cleveland Hall 111, will be closed Friday, June 19, while equipment is moved to clean up after flooding. The Copy Center is expected to reopen early next week. To check on order status, call 878-4509.

Note to students: The deadline for Session A Course Withdrawals and Pass/Fail Applications was extended to Thursday, June 18.

Thank you for your patience.
