Buffalo State College will hold a “Tribute to New Orleans,” featuring traditional New Orleans culture with food, music and historical perspectives, to benefit victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster. All proceeds from the event, to be held Sunday, Nov. 6, at 5 p.m. in the Social Hall of the Campbell Student Union, will go to the American Red Cross.

The Tribute to New Orleans will feature food prepared by faculty and staff using recipes compiled by the college’s Hospitality and Tourism Department, a 50/50 raffle and raffles for other items donated by departments. Music will be provided by the Blues Hounds, a Buffalo band.

Tickets for the event are $5. The public is invited.
