Men's indoor track sprinter Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

Harris earned All-America status, placing third in the 55-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships at Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday. The senior career and technical education major clipped one-tenth of a second off of his own school record, running the race in 7.49.

Harris previously broke the 20-year-old school record of 7.69 in his first meet with the program. Buffalo State will open its outdoor season at the Muskingum Invitational on March 26.
