Richard Harris (Rochester/Hilton) finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.62, breaking the 20-year-old school record. Todd Wassinger (Sanborn/Starpoint) also set a new school record with a first-place finish in the hammer throw, throwing 47.94 meters. Jenelle Orosz (N.Tonawanda/N.Tonawanda) captured a second-place finish and a new school record in the high jump, clearing 1.67 meters. Dana Migliorino (Wayne/Wayne Valley) placed seventh in the pole vault with a new school record of 2.15 meters.
Other top finishers for the Bengals included Jamie Abbott (Pulaski/Pulaski). Abbott threw 34.49 meters in the discuss throw, taking a fourth-place title. On the men’s side Justin Muise (Kenmore/Kenmore West) finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.93. Tim Giagos (Rochester/Gates-Chili) also captured a third-place finish, clocking in at 57.25 in the 400-meter hurdles. Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) placed third in the high jump clearing 1.93 meters, and second in the javelin throw with a mark of 55.51 meters. Joe Wooley (Amherst/Sweet Home) took home fifth place in the long jump at 12.76 meters.
The Bengals will return to action Saturday, April 16 when they travel to Slippery Rock.
