Kevin Buisman (Penfield/Penfield) led four point-scorers in the 200 breast, touching fifth (2:15.35). Tim Harroun (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) followed Buisman in seventh (2:18.35); Lance Thornton (Hastings/Hastings) was 11th (2:20.92); and Kyle Benedict (Elmira Heights/Horseheads) was 15th (2:22.43). Three Bengals also scored in the 200 fly, with Scott Banks (N. Tonawanda/Niagara Wheatfield) (2:09.25), Cy Creamer (Manlius/Fayetteville-Manlius) (2:11.81), and Vince Wasneechak (Gorham, ME/Lemoore CA) (2:16.79) placing 12th, 14th and 16th respectively. Mike Luther (Hamburg/Frontier) was 15th in the 200 back (2:05.95), and Matt Clark (Amherst/Sweet Home) was 12th in the 3-meter dive (224.75).
On the women’s side, Mindy Wood (Rushville/Middlesex) touched 12th in the 1,650 free (18:59.07). Sarah Garasz (Lancaster/Lancaster) was 14th in the 100 free (57.03). Kris Kinn (Angola/Lakeshore) was 15th in the 1-meter dive with a score of 312.90.
