Softball player Kristen Scheffold (Lancaster/Lancaster) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

The senior pitcher is off to a 3-0 start on the Bengals' annual spring trip to Ft. Myers, Fla. Scheffold has thrown two complete game shutouts and has 21 strikeouts in 16 innings. She has a 0.44 earned run average with just one run allowed.

Buffalo State is currently 6-0 and will face Southern Maine in a double header on Tuesday.
