The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium will take visitors on a journey to the center of our galaxy when it unveils unprecedented mural-sized images of the Milky Way’s core as seen by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, Spitzer Space Telescope, and Chandra X-ray Observatory.

The images will be unveiled to the public on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. followed by a brief lecture by Dr. Jack Mack, retired Astronomy professor at Buffalo State College, and open exhibition until 4 p.m.

The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium is located on the campus of Buffalo State College in the Science Building. For more information, call (716) 878-4911 or visit www.fergusonplanetarium.net.

This will be the planetarium’s last public event until April 2010 as construction commences on the new Science and Mathematics Complex at Buffalo State College.
