Orientation Flash Mob Video Featured in the New York Times

Posted: October 6, 2011

A flash mob organized by the Orientation Office’s student staff for first-year and transfer orientation week has garnered the attention of the New York Times.

Higher education reporter Tamar Lewin spoke to Robert Mead-Colegrove, director of orientation, and student Daigi-Ann Thompson about the planning and execution of the viral event.

“I am amazed at the response we received after the video was posted on YouTube,” said Mead-Colegrove. “I am honored that we have such wonderful students here at Buffalo State that put this together.”

The video was filmed and edited by David Morales, a senior media production major at Buffalo State.
