Posted: October 15, 2005
Buffalo State (6-6-4/2-3-3) scored first, but No. 11 Brockport (14-1-0/7-1-0) exploded for five goals in the second half for a 5-1 victory today at Coyer Field in Buffalo.

Prisco Houndanon (Togo, W. Africa) connected on a pass from Steve Orfanos (East Meadow/East Meadow) just 1:02 into the game to give Buffalo State a 1-0 lead. The Bengals led by that score at the half, handing Brockport its first halftime deficit of the season, but the Golden Eagles exploded in the second stanza. Aaron Acello (E. Rochester/E. Rochester) paced the Golden Eagles offense with two goals and two assists. Jon LeFort (Chittenango/Chittenango), Marc Gammiero (Rochester/Irondequoit) and Joe Asmusson (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) all added goals for Brockport.

The Golden Eagles outshot Buffalo State 23-6 for the game, including a 13-1 advantage in the second half.

Buffalo State will close out the SUNYAC regular season on Wednesday at Fredonia, needing a victory to have a chance to qualify for the postseason.
