Enjoy having Presidents Day off on Monday! Here’s a look at some of what’s happening the rest of the week:

Geology/Astronomy Club General Interest Meeting
Science and Math Complex 106
The Geology/Astronomy Club is holding a general interest meeting. The club typically provides pizza or subs and drinks. Come meet new friends and become part of the club! (Many student clubs and organizations hold general interest meetings on a regular basis. Check Bengal Connect for more details.)

Dress to Impress
Classroom Building B108
Join the National Society of Black Engineers for a discussion on what to wear for various business events. NSBE offers academic support to students, including professional development, leadership training, resume building, and gateways to career opportunities.

IPDS Italy Information Session
Bacon Hall 123/Rockwell Hall 107
Program leaders of the International Professional Development Schools (IPDS) Italy program will provide two information sessions for students interested in a two-and-a-half week teach-and-study-away opportunity in Italy in January 2020. Both graduate and undergraduate students are eligible, even if they plan to graduate in December 2019. Applications are due April 1, 2019. Interested students who are unable to attend one of these sessions may e-mail Kerry Renzoni, assistant professor of Music, for additional information.

Animal Rights?

Ethics Bowl will hold a discussion on animal rights, and whether we should be eating, wearing, experimenting on, or using animals for entertainment. They will also discuss whether groups like PETA are problematic.

Black Active Minds is holding a competition to see which student group or organization has the best rap ability on campus.

Friday, February 22, 8:00 p.m.
Bob James Trio
Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall
The Bob James Trio, featuring Ron Otis and Michael Palazzolo will perform on February 22 at 8:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall. Tickets are $45 for the lower tier, $35 for the upper tier, $32 for seniors, $32 for Buffalo State faculty and staff, and $15 for students one hour prior to the performance. JCPenney Suit-Up Event
JCPenney Walden Galleria 3 Walden Galleria Dr, Cheektowaga, NY 14225
This is an exclusive shopping event for all Buffalo State students and alumni to shop career dress apparel at 40 percent off. Free mini makeovers by Sephora, salon consultations, and xpress bar hair touch-ups. Transportation will be provided for students who pre-register and indicate they need transportation. Students and alumni may also come directly to the store. Students and alumni, please register prior to the event.
