Leslie Zemsky Appointed to Buffalo State College Council

Posted: July 26, 2016

Governor Andrew Cuomo has appointed Leslie Zemsky to the Buffalo State College Council for a term to expire on June 30, 2018.

“We are very pleased to welcome Leslie Zemsky to the Buffalo State College Council,” said Buffalo State President Katherine Conway-Turner. “Leslie is a true champion of our wonderful city and someone who understands and embraces the complexity and vibrant nature of Buffalo. I am grateful that she will now serve as one of Buffalo State’s top advocates throughout the region and across New York State. Governor Cuomo should be applauded for making this appointment.”

Zemsky fills the vacancy left by Gary Brost, chairman and CEO of Strategic Investments & Holdings, Inc., who stepped down from the council earlier this year.

The College Council is responsible for the operations and affairs of Buffalo State. It is composed of ten members—nine appointees of the governor, and one elected student representative.
