Diaspora Drumming Ensemble at Campus West School, March 19

Posted: February 27, 2009
Diaspora Drumming is a trio dedicated to studying, teaching, and performing percussion music of the African Diaspora. Members Ringo Brill, Tiffany Nicely, and Gabriel Gutierrez study with masters in various styles, traveling whenever possible to learn on the soil where the music was created. They seek and follow the threads connecting a wide range of rhythms to one another, and to their African sources.

The Diaspora Drumming Ensemble performs a free concert on Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the Campus West School Auditorium on the Buffalo State campus. Parking is available in lot L1. This program is presented by Buffalo State Music Department and Campus West School Music Program. For more information, call (716) 878-6420.
