Buffalo State senior Jen Breier (Grand Island/Grand Island) was named the Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award winner for women's volleyball by the State Univeristy of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).

The award is given annually in each conference sport to a First or Second Team All-SUNYAC player with the highest grade point average.

A senior art education major, Breier competed four seasons with the Bengals' women's volleyball team, while maintaining a 3.90 cumulative grade point average. She also excelled on the court, earning Second Team All-SUNYAC honors in each of the last two seasons. She finished her career with 855 kills and 145 aces in 430 games.

Breier will receive the award in a formal presentation during the spring semester.
