BUFFALO STATE COLLEGE PLANETARIUM PRESENTS

Posted: February 1, 2001
Blues for the Red Planet, a multi-media show written and narrated by the late astronomer Carl Sagan, will take center stage at Buffalo State College's Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium at 7 p.m. on Friday nights from Sept. 15-Oct. 20, 2000.

Originally presented as a segment of Sagan's production "Cosmos: The Voyage to the Stars," "Blues for the Red Planet" chronicles man's fascination with our planetary neighbor - from Percival Lowell's observations and Ray Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles" to NASA's Viking missions.

Buffalo State's program concludes with an hour-long observation of the night sky, weather permitting.

Cost for admission is $4 per person. Buffalo State College's Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium is located in the Science Building on the campus at 1300 Elmwood Avenue.
