Art Education Department Sponsors "Remembrance, Honoring and Unity"

Exhibition marks events of September 11, 2001

Buffalo State College's Art Education Department will present a special exhibition of works in response to the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, from Oct. 29-Nov. 1, in Gallery 234 or Upton Hall on the campus at 1300 Elmwood Ave.

"Remembrance, Honoring and Unity" features works of art by faculty and students and a special display for the public to respond as well. All materials are provided.

A special closing reception, featuring the Parkside Choir with music director Gregory White, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 7-9 p.m.

Established in 1930, the Art Education Department at Buffalo State College is the oldest state-sponsored art teacher preparation program in the United States and s accredited or approved by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and the New York State Education Department.
